As a Finance Manager at Baxter, you have the opportunity to work with our internal team as well as collaboratively with the teams we support. As a valued member of our finance organization, your insights and technical expertise will support our operations and contribute to our goals. You are able to adapt quickly, and thrive in nearly any situation due to your friendly, open approach to work. Your Team

As we work toward our common purpose, we lean on our colleagues for their expertise and collaborate to get work done. As an internal partner to the business, the finance team builds relationships and functions as a thought partner, providing expertise and reliability along the way. This function is friendly and helpful, largely due to the cross-collaborative nature of the roles. While you often work independently with your partner, you always have the greater finance organization to lean on for support or mentorship.

What you'll be doing

  • Direct the analysis and reporting of financial documents, explaining trends, variance to budget and forecast for management reporting, with market and financial analytics and analysis to support day-to-day commercial execution.
  • Provide proactive leadership for all operating forecast updates throughout the year as well as the annual operating plan and strategic long range plan, ensuring to reflect strategic assessments of growth opportunities, competitive dynamics and general marketplace changes
  • Key liaison and partner for inputs and decisions points with the Accounting and FP&A COEs, including the FLT leadership
  • Drive compliance with internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC requirements, and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures
  • Participates as member of the local Pension Plan committee, Compliance Committee and is part of the Subcluster SMT
  • Management of a strong team of individuals and pro-active leadership on development plans and mentorship daily.
  • Approves the incorporation of 3rd Party Suppliers / Clients in accordance to the TPP Policy

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent).
  • MBA/CPA preferred.
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 12 or more years of experience.
  • Fully bilingual (English is required)
