Summary

The Key Account Specialist is responsible for driving sales growth, market access, and clinical adoption of Baxter's Advanced Surgery and Anesthesia portfolio within the assigned territory. The role focuses on building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, and procurement stakeholders, while supporting tender activities and ensuring compliance with Baxter's quality and pharmacovigilance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Account Management

  • Achieve sales and business objectives within the assigned territory.

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans.

  • Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, pharmacists, procurement teams, and hospital management.

  • Identify growth opportunities and drive product adoption.

Clinical Education & Customer Engagement

  • Deliver product presentations, workshops, and training sessions.

  • Support clinicians with product knowledge and clinical evidence.

  • Represent Baxter at congresses, educational events, and customer meetings.

Tender & Market Access Support

  • Monitor and support hospital tender processes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and distributor/wholesaler partners to ensure successful participation in bids.

  • Track healthcare market developments and competitive activities.

Compliance, Quality & Pharmacovigilance

  • Report product complaints and quality issues according to Baxter procedures.

  • Identify, collect, and report adverse events and safety information within required timelines.

  • Educate customers on product safety reporting requirements.

  • Adhere to all Baxter quality, compliance, and pharmacovigilance policies. (Mandatory responsibility).

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device companies.

  • Experience working with hospitals and healthcare stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with tender and procurement processes.

  • Fluent Hungarian and professional English.

  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Experience promoting products within Advanced Surgery, Anesthesia, Critical Care, ICU, or Operating Room environments.

  • Knowledge of hospital purchasing processes and reimbursement landscape.

  • Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ideal Candidate

A commercially driven hospital sales professional with experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals, strong relationship-building skills, exposure to surgical and anesthesia environments, and a solid understanding of tender management, compliance, and pharmacovigilance requirements.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is 10 400 000,00 HUF gross Annual. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
