Your role at Baxter:

We are committed to delivering a comprehensive range of engineering solutions that will significantly enhance our capital projects management system. Our initiatives will focus on optimizing facility layouts to boost efficiency, analyzing and refining the cost of goods sold (COGS), and adjusting product structures for improved reporting accuracy. By implementing strategic projects, we aim to drive innovation and growth within the organization.

Our process will include building a compelling business case supported by thorough research and data analysis, ensuring alignment with financial goals. We will demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure necessary resources and customer consensus. Finally, we will present the project for final approval in a collaborative manner, engaging all key decision-makers to ensure their insights and support.

What you'll be doing:

  • Works under minimal direction on capital projects management system in conjunction with finance department.
  • Capital Expenditures Request (CER) purchase orders follow up to ensure CER monthly metrics (accuracy and spending).
  • Supervising all projects expenditures and cost tracking.
  • Administrate under minimal direction the 3-year maintenance file to identify plant CER needs.
  • Lead engineering budget and forecast deliverables related to product structure changes reported.
  • Lead engineering budget and forecast deliverables related to capital projects phasing adjustments based on full year spending.
  • Support Facility Layout optimization 3 Year Plan.
  • Lead facility layout alignment between departments to ensure right path for growth (future) projects / strategies.
  • Facility Layout centralization including project needs. Support Project Management Office 3 Year Plan.
  • Lead Project Feasibility Analysis - Perform standard cost revision, quotation process, as required and process improvement projects under supervision.
  • Support launch of new products.
  • Support on CapEx – OpEx needs for Project Feasibility Analysis.
  • Support on Business Continuity Plan for Raw Materials.
  • Use Project Management principles and fundamentals to all product and processes changes.
  • Implement under supervision appropriate process or product designs, changes, materials selection and manufacturing techniques as per project requests.
  • Use Project Management principles and fundamentals to all product and processes changes.
  • Implement in process or product validations (FOC / COB) using Local engineering resources with coordination with the different departments (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.).
  • Coordinate and perform Local and Divisional engineering project activities under supervision.
  • Conduct process or product transfer activities from Divisional or International facilities to the Haina manufacturing areas. Interact under supervision with Divisional groups as well as other International facilities.
  • Align with all regulatory commitments from his-her areas of responsibility. Observe all company and regulatory EHS requirements. Always Observe data privacy and confidentiality rules. Identify hazards and evaluate risks and environmental aspects of areas and processes under responsibility and implement appropriate control. What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) Oral and Writing
  • More than 2 years of experience in projects including Financial and Transfers (Experience in medical industry is preferred)
  • Fully computer knowledge (MS package, MS Project) and software packages (Intranet, Power Point, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle ambiguity.
