Your role at Baxter:

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will ensure that products or services meet customer expectations. He is responsible for overseeing quality control, ensuring that products meet standards and specifications. The position demands strong leadership skills, in addition to the ability to analyze data and communicate well with team members and collaborators.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and meet needs of Medical Device Sector or Automotive Sector, with expertise in Quality Systems Deployment and Ongoing Improvement Approaches (ISO9000 or ISO 13485).
  • Own the team's projects in Monterrey with independence and motivation.
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and systematically lead all aspects of projects that drive the company towards achieving its goals.
  • Supervise and manage the team of Quality Engineers and quality control to maintain consistency with the established standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and policies to optimize sophisticated assembly processes.
  • Coordinate with different departments to identify and resolve quality issues at all stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards and propose corrective actions when vital.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce product defects and customer complaints.
  • Participate in the development of new products and transfers, ensuring that quality requirements are met from the build stage to mass production.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality requirements established by the relevant norms and standards.
  • Work closely with various departments to introduce total quality practices throughout the organization.
  • Communicates optimally and constructively with all teams to ensure alignment with meaningful metrics and goals.
  • Lead and empower the quality control team.
  • Partner with other departments, validating that critical quality controls meet required risks and mitigate them if vital.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to ensure quality controls.
  • Perform their duties in accordance with the culture of compliance with standards and ethical business practices in the organization.
  • Implement Baxter's Code of Conduct, Policies, and Procedures, including, but not limited to, the Global Interactions Policy and the Third-Party Policy.
  • Demonstrate strong collaborative skills to develop/maintain productive relationships to ensure the success of current and new business initiatives.

What You'll Bring !

  • A Science degree or comparable experience in Engineering or other related technical fields. Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Quality or Operations desirable.
  • Five (5) to 10 years in a Manufacturing engineering role, Quality Assurance, with a minimum of 5 years in Manufacturing and/or Quality.
  • Demonstrate strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in the medical device industry or automotive industry, as well as in Quality System launches, process control and continuous improvement methods (ISO9000 or QS9000) Operate in some way independently while motivating and leading team initiatives in Monterrey.
  • Ability to multitask and methodically handle projects that be responsible for the business to meet corporate objectives.
  • Management of continuous improvement and problem solving techniques: PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
