In Sabiñánigo, we are looking for a Quality Control Chemistry Lead to join our Quality team. This role is key to ensuring that our chemical laboratory meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance. You will coordinate a group of professionals and support innovation and continuous improvement in our quality control processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support a team of analysts and technicians, ensuring their development through training, performance reviews, and clear work planning.
  • Oversee all laboratory operations, including calibration and validation of equipment and methods, while ensuring full compliance with GLP, GMP, ISO, and Baxter’s internal standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact during internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and accurate documentation across all lab activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide technical expertise in the development, validation, and implementation of new analytical methods, procedures, and products.
  • Investigate and resolve deviations, out-of-spec results, and invalid tests, ensuring robust documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Manage laboratory resources, including budget planning, inventory control, supplier relationships, and procurement of reagents and materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Regulatory Affairs and Production, to support quality initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Lead the implementation of digital systems for lab management and supervise stability testing programs, including elemental impurity monitoring and final approval of results.

What you will bring

  • Degree in Chemistry.
  • Solid experience in a chemical QC lab, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Solid understanding of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Previous experience in team leadership and lab management.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
  • Advanced digital literacy and understanding of data integrity and documentation standards.
