What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain CAD/BIM (Revit) family content and content library for HST CCS Liko Patient Lifts product line(s) and processes.
  • Develop and maintain CAD and BIM standards, develop company’s BIM capabilities.
  • Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity.
  • Responsible for designing LIKO overhead patient lift systems based upon customer requirements to aid in the preparation of pricing proposals, customer presentations, submittal data/drawings, order entry, product installation, and as-built drawings.
  • Serves to support the sales force and internal sales process by providing input and expertise to hospital patient room design, verifying product functionality in the customer environment and coordinating documentation with customer service, project management and installation resources.
  • Works closely with Hill-Rom project management and sales to ensure the timely and accurate production of CAD design drawings in support of the sales process. Supports sales in customer or industry interactions as required.
  • Manage master file and deployment locations, names, file layers and symbology per industry and company CAD/BIM standards.
  • Coordinate with the project team and manage 3D shop models provided by subcontractors to perform clash detection, coordination, and conflict resolution.
  • Schedule, conduct, participate, and/or lead coordination review meetings to communicate constructability issues and clashes during preconstruction to the subcontractors, architects, engineers, and project managers. Manage log of clash reports identifying the responsible parties and decision made for the issues.
  • Coordinate with the preconstruction teams, architects and engineers to procure the BIM master models and develop processes for quantity take off during preconstruction.
  • Develop coordination drawings and manage its submittals on assigned projects.
  • Apply CAD and Revit to pick-up red-line comments and revisions provided via RFI’s and by the project management teams.
  • Adhere to established project goals and objectives including, but not limited to, schedule and budget parameters.
  • Occasional travel/site visits may be required on projects to understand the needs and challenges of the field staff that can be met using BIM.
  • Setup and maintain efficient and well-organized electronic CAD/BIM project folders and files.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards.
  • Provide quality control reviews for completeness and alignment to approved standards for all drawings and data input.
  • Perform periodic QA review of BIM models for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support CAD and engineering in AutoCAD & BIM/REVIT software to increase accuracy in design, coordination, and installation.
  • Provide technical orientation and training to new hires regarding BIM tools.
  • Provide support to non-Revit users with AutoCAD file creation and maintenance from Revit, 2D and 3D Files.
  • Develop and implement ideas for improvement of company’s CAD/BIM capabilities, processes and standards.
  • Coordinate needed hardware and software upgrades with Hill-Rom IT.
  • Maintain high level of competency of BIM software tools through continued use and training.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred and 3 -5 years experience in design or related field.
  • Bachelors Degree in non-related field and 5+ years related experience in design or related field.
  • Associates Degree in related field and 7+ years experience in design or related field.
  • Associates Degree in non-related field and 9+ years experience in design or related field.
  • High school diploma or GED with 10+ years experience in design or related field and 2+ years project management experience.
  • Applied knowledge of design tools/software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) desired.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $68,000 - $93,500 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
