Baxter Medical Systems enables excellence in surgical procedures in modern medical technology. From emergency care to critical care, our products help care teams achieve outstanding results. To enable surgical staff and multidisciplinary care teams to work efficiently, digital systems are automated and devices are essential to streamline processes, increase user convenience and improve patient safety. Baxter takes this development into account and sets new standards with its intelligent and networked solutions.

We are currently searching a Plant Controller (f/m/d) based in Saalfeld.

Responsibilities:

Manage the preparation of annual plant budgets, and periodic feedback on present performance to budget and adjustment measures.
Coordinate the annual plant standard cost recalculation and variation reporting, including the preparation of recommendations for action.
Provide plant and divisions with accurate and timely financial data. (e.g. Margin analysis, Margin improvement projects, inventory management and spend controls.)
Evaluate and assess capital spending, CPA/CPJ justifications.
Partner with plant functions to analyze and support investments and new business initiatives.
Provides oversight of all plant related GAAP, SOX and Baxter policy requirements
Planning, preparing and supervising projects.

Education & Work Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or country equivalent). CPA and MBA preferred.
Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 9 or more years of experience with emphasis on cost and budgeting.
Minimum 6 years’ experience with emphasis on cost and budgeting.
Background in standard costing, budget management and capital analysis and control
Deep knowledge in MS Office applications and ERP systems (SAP FI/CO, MM, PP, SAP Analysis for Office)
Proven track record of identifying and implementing change.
Has effectively communicated at all levels of the organization in both formal and informal environments.
Experience in a global, diverse matrixed organization.
Capable of executing a business case for change by analyzing and leveraging best practices
Maintains a strong presence, with the ability to manage indirect reporting relationships.
