The Maintenance Manager will support the site through two primary roles:

Daily management of maintenance staff and activities including equipment maintenance, facility maintenance, security, site-split initiatives, general project management, capital management, and staff supervision/development.

Dedicated daily project management related to the non-DEHP Blender 61 projects.  Projects include Blender 61 site buildout, Blender 61 equipment installation/integration/validation, Chilled water plant relocation/installation, and resin/DEHT plasticizer silo projects.

  • Manage, identify, hire, develop and recognize technical staff in the Maintenance and Blender 61 project teams.  Provide technical direction to teams.
  • Provide daily project management leadership for Blender 61 and associated projects.  Will work with plant resources, Baxter personnel, and contractors to ensure flawless execution to an accelerated project timeline.
  • Interface with ISC project manager and R&D project manager to share information needed for external communications and other project management.  Goal is to ensure technical resources stay focused on the key technical needs of the project 
  • Manage a variety of complex issues in associated projects, plans and schedules project implementation.  Responsible for defining scope of work for project team.
  • Lead and/or support plant capital forecasting, budgeting, and execution.
  • Lad and/or support site separation projects and initiatives.
  • Lead and/or support site FM global insurance requirements.  This will require coordination with plant resources, Vantive Mountain Home resources, corporate risk management, and FM global personnel.
  • Lead and coordinate plant security team.  This includes plant camera system and security guard technology.
  • Approve protocols and support documentation (engineering change requests, system change forms, etc.) in order to secure project release. This is a "technical approver" position.
  • Proactively and regularly communicate with regions and plants (directly or through marketing) to update development progress and maintain region support.
  • Other expectations may be developed in order to meet the requirements listed in summary above.

  • Knowledge of PVC blending, film extrusion, and similar processes and/or experience in Baxter engineering, maintenance, quality, or operations.
  • Knowledge of basic project management, including strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices and process validation.
  • Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
  • Ability to design and implement in own area of expertise.
  • Has demonstrated effective supervisory skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and globally.
  • Financial acumen; high degree of ethics.
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • BS with 5+ years experience in maintenance, project management, and/or operations.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
