We are looking for an Electrophysiology Mentor (EPM) to join our Clinical Services team who is passionate about ECG interpretation and helping cardiac patients through our innovative remote patient monitoring body sensor technologies. The right individual will join a multi-faceted and fast-paced environment focused on high quality patient care. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, mentoring Analysis Technicians in their clinical and professional development, provide direct support and coaching for ECG clinical knowledge, qualitative building of ECG reporting, and assisting their team members in meeting or exceeding performance metric goals for quality and productivity.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a team leader to group of assigned Analysis Technicians of various tenure and experience levels, mentoring and developing them to ensure they meet or exceed Company standards and established performance goals.
  • Communicate frequently with Clinical Services Managers and Trainers when additional training or coaching is needed for their technician team members.
  • In collaboration with Clinical Services Managers and Trainers, implement training and corrective action initiatives for chronically underperforming team members and provide detailed documentation of coaching efforts performed.
  • Actively monitor and participate in team group chats to provide advice, feedback, and direct assistance regarding difficult ECG interpretations, software use, internal procedures, and following notification criteria standards.
  • When work volume allows, take lead on performing group trainings for technicians including preparing training materials and leading in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Provide support and team coverage for other Electrophysiology Mentors and/or other office locations when needed.
  • Provide support to Clinical Services staff by fielding requests for reviewing and confirming advanced arrhythmias and/or cardiac events that meet notification criteria.
  • When business needs require, assist Clinical Assurance Technicians with performing retroactive clinical assurance reviews of technician-prepared reports. When business needs require, assist Internal Review Technician team with proactively reviewing completed CAM reports and providing detailed feedback to Analysis Technicians according to established reporting standards.
  • Maintain compliance with job-specific proficiency requirements including but not limited to a CRAT or CCT certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Working overtime as needed to maintain workflow objectives and ensure the quality and timeliness of ECG reporting.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Must pass IRT assessment and complete IRT training.
  • CRAT or CCT certification.
  • Must be within a commutable distance to assigned office to work on-site when required.
  • Detailed and advanced knowledge of Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and related Physiology as it applies to cardiac monitoring and ECG reporting.
  • Thorough expertise and qualitative execution of department policies and reporting standards.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of ECG interpretation experience with in-depth knowledge and skill.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough attention-to-detail and documentation skills.
  • Great time management and ability to multi-task and/or prioritize workflow.
  • Excellent PC proficiency level.
  • Phenomenal work ethic and desire to provide high quality outcomes (reports) to our customers and patients.
  • Must be able to balance team/individual responsibilities and contribute to a positive team culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) months’ experience within the Company as an Internal Review Technician.
  • Some college course work of ECG certification preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in expert ECG interpretation preferred.
  • Prior experience with Nemon or LX Analysis software preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of medical terminology specific to Cardiology and Electrophysiology preferred.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base hourly range of $24.62 to $43.27. The above range represents the expected hourly range for this position. The actual hourly rate may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location
