JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the Maximo System Administration. Perform Plan Maintenance works using Maximo as a CMMS tool. Prepares Job Plans, schedule preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities in cooperation with technicians, supervisors and senior leaders. Publish reports and ensure that required resources are available during the planning phase. Administer CMMS to include tasks, update data and assist maintenance team as needed for planning and scheduling. Additional Edits, designs and implements charts, posts, blueprints in compliance to internal and external regulations (such as: OSHA, EPA, etc.).  Set up the Preventive Maintenance System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform CMMS operations for planning and organizing preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance activities, including but not limited to safety job plans.
  • Perform Maintenance Coordinator duties creating new assets, new PM and Updating the PM Records.
  • Maintain communications with internal customers to make sure the equipment can be accessed with minimal impact.
  • Interface with contractors and vendors for parts and services.
  • Maintain documentation and inventory of equipment manuals.
  • Support continuous improvement or reliability initiatives to reduce equipment, processes and utilities systems failures and associated costs.
  • Perform weekly, monthly and annual reports as required.
  • Ensure audits are responded to on schedule.
  • Support the implementation of quality initiatives when required.
  • Ensure regulatory knowledge and compliance.
  • Follow company EHS guidelines and company policies.
  • Maintain Baxter’s commitment to high standards for compliance, enthusiasm and business integrity.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Able to work Holidays, extra hours, or any shift when required (eg. shutdowns, external audits -FDA, ISO 9002, Corporate or special projects) when needed.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Must keep the work area clean and in order condition.
  • Should be able to work within minimum supervision

  • Represent the site on corporate teams and initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience in Maintenance Area or Technical School Degree preferred or experience performing. Experience in maintenance, design, and project engineering in medical devices or pharmaceutical industries. Knowledge of AutoCAD, personal and industrial computers.

  • Three (7) years related experience works related to manufacturing and/or utilities areas, strong computer knowledge. Maximo CMMS knowledge is a plus.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal or external auditors and inspectors, customers, immediate supervisor and the public. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish languages. Ability to communicate, read, write and understand English/Spanish languages.

  • RELATIONS WITH OTHERS

Works effectively with all levels, functions, and departments within the site organization. Communication, both written and oral, is clear, concise, and accurate.

  • REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, EXAMS

cGMP's Training, Safety Trainings, certificates, licenses, exams and registrations that the immediate supervisor refer.

  • COMPANY REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Observes and promotes company security, industrial hygiene, cGMP's, procedures and other security measures already established by the company; should inform any violation.Able to follow all GMP requirements while conducting the assigned duties and completing official documents.

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques and factor analysis Maintain understanding of industry and technology trends relevant to process equipment design and maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge of Flexible Automation Principles, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of EPA, EQB, and OSHA regulations

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and smell. The employee must be able to read, write, hear, and talk clearly to exchange and communicate information personally or by telephone, with contractors and all levels of personnel within the facility. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (with the appropriate safety equipment that the company provides). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.   • WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places, fumes or airborne practices; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme heat; and vibration in which the use of PPE may be required.   • SAFETY EQUIPMENT and/or EQUIPMENT

The employee must be able to use the proper equipment in any Baxter area to comply with Company policies, and any internal or external regulation or policy (e.g. safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection equipment, safety gloves, negative pressure respirations, and any other equipment necessary to protect the health and safety of the employee). While doing this job the employee must use a copy machine, fax machine, computer, telephone, office supply, etc.
