Your role at Baxter

As a Sr Financial Analyst, FP&A at Baxter, you will play a crucial role in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization. You will act as an extension of the business teams and collaborate closely with in-country finance and business partners within the Clusters and Global FP&A!

What you'll be doing

  • We drive the preparation, development, consolidation, and management of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts. Find opportunities to improve financial performance and provide strategic insights through detailed financial analysis.

  • We facilitate and lead presentations with operations teams to identify performance gaps, implement improvements, and support cross-functional alignment on financial goals.

  • We deliver actionable recommendations and financial insights to support executive decision-making and long-term business planning.

  • We strategically collaborate with business leaders, bringing to bear financial competence and business knowledge to craft and steer critical financial decisions.

  • We collaborate with Finance leadership to drive improvements in execution, develop financial policies, and support central initiatives that improve operational efficiency.

  • We maintain and publish monthly financial results and dashboards using tools such as Hyperion, Tableau, and Power BI. Ensure timely and accurate communication with collaborators across business units and corporate finance.

  • We regularly analyze and conduct deep dives, including revenue pool assessments, detailed evaluations, and preparation of management reports.

  • We handle the loading of budget and forecast adjustments into financial systems for assigned countries, ensuring data integrity and alignment with corporate standards.

  • We prepare detailed variance reports to compare actuals against budget/forecast, providing insights to support timely and informed decision-making.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and reporting, accounting, and financial analysis.

  • Proficiency in technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements, accounting principles, relevant business environment, financial modeling skills, and statistical modeling techniques.

  • English C1 or higher.

  • Sophisticated knowledge in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to various financial systems (e.g., JD Edwards, BaxIntel, PlanIT, etc.).

  • Excellent social, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
