In the dynamic environment of Braine L'Alleud, the role of Engineer, Metrology and Qualification is a linchpin in ensuring the flawless operation of our innovative laboratories. This position is responsible for the meticulous maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, systems, and utilities, guaranteeing their precision and reliability through daily checks and meticulous qualification processes.

What you'll do

Fluid Systems Management: Oversee the follow-up, maintenance, and validation of fluid systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and optimally.

Equipment Lifecycle Management: Actively participate in the selection, acquisition, and implementation of new laboratory equipment, from initial procurement to final installation and validation.

Calibration and Validation Scheduling: Collaborate with internal customers and equipment providers to schedule and manage periodic calibrations and validations, ensuring all assigned equipment remains in optimal condition.

Documentation Development: Develop and complete comprehensive documentation related to equipment validation and qualification, maintaining a clear and traceable record of all processes.

Guidance and Compliance: Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and subject matter experts to implement new guidelines and norms into assigned procedures, and create new procedures as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance.

Documentation and Equipment Management: Apply documentation and equipment management tools to archive all records related to equipment calibration and validation, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with regulatory standards.

Technical Investigation and Support: In the event of equipment failure, participate in technical investigations to identify and resolve issues promptly. Provide technical assistance and training to colleagues, encouraging a culture of ongoing improvement and teamwork.

What you'll bring

  • Education: Master’s degree or engineer degree in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical industry or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 1-2 year of experience in the validation, calibration & maintenance analytical instruments.
  • Language: Complete professional English level
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment.
  • Well organized, able to run several equipments at the same time.
  • Basic knowledgeable about GMP/GDP in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Analytical approach and abilities on analytical instruments validation:
  • Data Integrity, Computer system validation etc.
  • Take personal accountability for assigned equipment’s/project. Proactive reporting.
  • Able to summarize and easily explain complex situation.
