Your Role at Baxter

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing team at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. Your responsibility is to ensure the seamless preparation and dispatch of pharmaceutical products, contributing directly to our mission of saving and sustaining lives. You value precision and efficiency, and your dedication to excellence ensures that every product meets our high standards.

You will pick and prepare batch components for cleanrooms, sanitize components, label and package finished products for dispatch. You will also work with supervisors and the wider team to meet daily production and compliance goals. Your accuracy and ability to work independently will be essential.

You will join a group of dedicated professionals, including Supervisors, Production Specialists, and Pharmacists, all working together to achieve our ambitious goals. We support each other to optimize production flow and ensure that every task is completed with the highest level of precision.

What you'll be doing

• Pick raw materials and components for cleanroom compounding
• Perform in-process checks to ensure 100% accuracy
• Maintain communication with cleanrooms and Production Specialist(s) to ensure efficient production flow
• Perform component sanitization for all items entering cleanrooms
• Perform final inspection and label batch units
• Maintain coordination with Production Specialist(s) and Pharmacists to ensure delivery times are met
• Put together boxes and prepare finished products for shipment
• Manually load and transfer products between pharmacy areas
• Assist and perform other duties as required

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) knowledge
• 1-2 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing or related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good decision-making and organizational skills
• Capability to cover all shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High level of focus on accuracy and a strong commitment to quality
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to operate independently
• Teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs. regularly throughout the day
• Capacity to perform effectively in a dynamic setting and remain standing for long durations
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent attendance and punctuality history
• Drive and urgency to achieve production deadlines

Garbing Processes

We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. 
The estimated salary range for this position is $48,000 - $72,000 annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
