Job Title: Senior Specialist – Automation Testing (Selenium with Java)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Specialist – Automation Testing with strong expertise in Selenium with Java to lead test automation efforts, build custom frameworks, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate should have deep understanding of Core Java, excellent scripting skills, and proven experience in designing robust automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain custom automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
Write efficient, reusable, and reliable test automation scripts for web-based applications.
Lead end-to-end automation strategy, including framework architecture, test planning, execution, and reporting.
Develop utilities and libraries in Core Java to support testing efforts across different projects.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and DevOps to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
Work closely with manual testers to transition test cases into automated scripts.
Analyze test results, log defects, and ensure timely resolution by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability by adhering to best practices and standards.
Mentor junior team members and conduct code reviews to ensure consistency and performance.
Required Skills:
8 to 14 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance and Automation Testing.
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java.
Strong programming skills in Core Java, including OOP concepts, Collections, Exception Handling, and File I/O.
Proven experience in building automation frameworks such as Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, or Hybrid frameworks.
Experience with test automation tools such as TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and Git.
Familiarity with API testing using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or similar is a plus.
Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI/CD) and version control (Git).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum development process and tools like JIRA or Azure Boards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in cross-browser testing, parallel execution, and cloud-based platforms like Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs.
ISTQB certification or equivalent is an added advantage.
