We are currently looking for a HR Specialist (f/m/d) 12-month fixed-term contract.

Job Summary

The HR Specialist provides comprehensive HR support for a designated business area and partners with managers and employees on a broad range of human resources topics. The role is responsible for coordinating and implementing employee lifecycle activities, supporting organizational development initiatives, talent management processes, recruitment activities for agency temps, and HR projects while ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

This position is located in Saalfeld and requires on-site presence. This role is a 12-month fixed-term position to support ISC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including hiring of agency temps, onbaording contract extensions, transfers, compensation changes, reclassifications, promotions, and terminations.

  • Advise managers on HR policies, processes, workforce planning, and employee-related matters, Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR-related inquiries and personnel matters.

  • Coordinate and support Works Council consultation processes for personnel actions, including hiring, transfers, contract changes, restructurings, and other employee-related matters, ensuring compliance with legal and internal requirements.

  • Support performance management, talent planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.

  • Assist in evaluating job requirements, preparing job profiles, and conducting job evaluations.

  • Support learning and development activities, including training needs analysis, coordination of development programs, and employee development initiatives.

  • Coordinate internship and student programs

  • Participate in and lead HR-related projects and sub-projects, ensuring delivery against quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and optimization of HR processes and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, company policies, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Your profile

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or

  • Completed vocational training with additional HR qualification (e.g., HR Specialist certification or equivalent).

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Human Resources.

  • Experience in employee relations, recruitment, talent management, or HR operations preferred.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment lifecycle management.

  • Ability to advise and support managers and employees on HR-related topics.

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Experience with HR systems (Workday, SAP, or similar HRIS).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Fluent German and good English language skills.
