This Role

As a result of an internal move we have an opportunity for a Marketing/Sales Lead- Anesthesia that has arisen within our Pharmaceutical team. In this unique commercial role you will drive Marketing and commercial activities, portfolio strategies, and foster key relationships for our Anesthesia portfolio.

Reporting to the Director, Pharmaceuticals you will develop and implement commercial marketing strategies with key accounts and respond to tenders whilst managing the installed base.  Focusing on maintaining sales revenue and profitability, you will take the lead in understanding customers’ needs, identifying key market segments, and building strategies for commercial success.  You will partner closely with internal stakeholders such as Global commercial teams, Technical Service, Logistics & Planning, QA teams, ensuring product and vaporizer availability in market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with all key stakeholders (Pharmacy, Theatre, Anesthesia Department, Biomedical Engineering, Procurement Manager, State Health)

  • Conduct regular business review meetings with the Key Accounts to uncover opportunities to grow and maintain business and identify gaps

  • Develop and manage key customer relationships driving increase in sales and profitability in these accounts

  • Ensure all opportunities, calls and campaigns are captured in Boost timely and monitor the progress

  • Lead and manage proposals and submissions of new or renewal business opportunities and tender responses across ANZ

  • Determine optimum stock levels and forecasting in line with MOQ and leadtime of manufacturer ensuring planning team can manage rapid response and stock availability fo customers

  • Management of loan vaporizer fleet pertaining to purchases, refurbishment, repairs/ service, decommissioning

  • Market analysis and strategic setting of product pricing and vaporizer placement in line with the direction set by the Director – Pharmaceuticals

  • Prepare brief insights for monthly CLT meetings and QBR meetings

  • Identify, participate and plan of suitable exhibitions in order to develop product presence in the market to drive sales growth

  • Monitor TGA and compiling market intelligence on competitor activity

  • Maximise ROI of deployed vaporizer assets.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in Pharmacy, Science, Business, Marketing,   Biomed or related fields

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management/Sales or Marketing biomed or Theatre technician within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industries

  • Strong commercial competence and the ability to develop and implement market strategies

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain collaborator relationships

  • Analytical skills to assess market trends and identify growth opportunities.

  • Ability to innovate and streamline processes to achieve operational excellence.

  • Skills in negotiation and contract/tender management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage own time and work to deadlines

  • Strong computer program skills (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite).
