Your Role at Baxter

This is where your work saves lives.

As the Sr Technician you will work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel. Apply basic and some advanced techniques and procedures to a diversity of assigned projects including both sustaining of Medical Products and New Product Development Initiatives.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is a manufacturing environment regulated by the FDA and many other work rules to prevent damage to the product we manufacture. Some of those work rules include but are not limited to:

• Wearing a static protective smock as required.

• Wearing a ground wrist strap and plugging that wrist strap into the working table.

• Working in close proximity to other employees.

• Working in test environments where the temperature/humidity fluctuates as part of the product test plan.

What you'll be doing:

Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments, primarily in engineering laboratories. However, the team also has responsibility for a variety of scientific laboratories which may also require support. Perform detailed analyses and tests. Assist in compiling observations, analyzing data and interpreting results. Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies. May write experimental reports, summaries and protocols. May also develop and maintain record keeping for experiment performed. Perform simple troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.

What you'll bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent, AA Degree preferred, 2+ years’ experience in related field.

• Proficient use of laboratory equipment and tools

• Familiarity with GMP/GLP desired.

• Proficient in recording original data.

• Ability to use computer for word processing, spreadsheets, document retrieval, e-mail, business calendars.

• Basic understanding of documentation systems.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $56,000- $77,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
