​Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• ​​​Reporting to the Principal manufacturing engineer, the senior engineer; plans, directs, organizes, manages, coordinates, and controls the development function within manufacturing for the optimum deployment of man, machines, methods, materials, and environment. This is to be achieved by complying consistently with all corporate and plant policies/procedures/standards of quality, quality and GMP’s while staying within budget.​
• The Senior manufacturing engineer is responsible for the research, development, purchasing, planning, implementation, and validation of new or upgraded equipment systems.  
• This role will be in response to develop viable solutions to problems identified at manufacturing. 
• The position requires that the Senior engineer has project management skills, together with problem solving techniques and competences that can thus assist manufacturing to address problems impacting manufacturing (e.g., Quality defects) or to make improvements with existing designs and systems. 
• Identify, support and at times lead and implement continuous improvement processes. 
• The position also requires the incumbent to have good interpersonal and communicational skills.  
• The Senior engineer will also be required to interact with support functions to ensure that the above objectives/performance can be achieved. This will generally relate to most of the other entities of the plant i.e., distribution, maintenance, R&D, global engineering, logistics, planning and finance. 

Qualifications:

• Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory or Clinical Practices and
• Product Development Process requirements
• Demonstrated competencies in all aspects of project management.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player

Education and/or Experience:

• Engineering Degree or Equivalent in a related field
• 2-5 years of Experience

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €32,000.00 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
