Quality:

  • To ensure the issued materials are as per requirement and the material is released from quality.
  • To ensure that the Officers or Workers are working as per standard operating procedure (SOPs).
  • To supervise the packing online at frequent intervals as defined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • To crosscheck the available packing material with proper labels and status.
  • To ensure that status label is being updated to avoid mix-up of product & material.
  • To frequently ask the questions regarding productivity and quality to the workers and find out the training needs.
  • To recheck, if any abnormality observed in reconciliation of any material and rectify the problem.
  • To plan for retraining for staff or workers, if training evaluation is found unsatisfactory or as per requirement.
  • To ensure safety features of all machine is working properly & peoples are using respective personal protective equipment during operation.
  • To monitor the line clearance of packing before starting the packing of new batch, in coordination with Executive – In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA).
  • To ensure the issue of material of the batch, prior to schedule of respective product packing, and taking the clearance from the Executive – IPQA.
  • To ensure the samples of each packing batch is collected as per requirement of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)
  • To ensure that rejection generated is being destroyed during packing, in presence of Executive – IPQA.
  • To ensure availability of Batch Packing Record (BPR) for execution as per plan & submission of executed BPR.
  • To participate in QMS activity.
  • -Administrative:
  • To provide the data to transfer the packed goods to the finished goods store in coordination with Sub-department Manager of Production.
  • To ensure the timely packing of unpacked goods from the General Quarantine area.
  • To ensure the availability of packaging material with proper labels and status.
  • To adhere with process of reconciliation of material after completion of batch.
  • To ensure the status tags are displayed properly so that the status of each issued & packed material is maintained as per the regulatory requirement and Standard Operating Procedure.
  • To ensure the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) norms are followed and maintained across the packing area.
  • To train the work force for critical operations like visual inspection and labeling.
  • In the absence of Officer, Executive will ensure his roles and responsibilities.
  • In the absence of Executive, Department Head will ensure these roles and responsibilities.
  • Authorities for rejections or approval:
  • To stop the activity, if any abnormality is found during any activity of packing and inform to Department Head until it is resolved.
  • To act against any in-disciplinary behavior of staff or workers.
  • To stop the machine immediately, if the output quality is not as per requirements and inform to Department Head.
  • Communication to the management / superiors:
  • To communicate any abnormality related to packing material, non-conformity and change in planning to Department Head, before starting the activity.
  • To communicate any delay or change in proposed plan to Department Head.
  • To prepare the non-conformity report, as and when required.
